Project Specific Prices ( PSP )

Project Specific Prices (PSP) allow you to apply alternative pricing to Catalogue Items for specific projects.

This is useful when:

  • a supplier provides better rates for a particular project

  • bulk purchasing discounts are agreed

  • pricing differs between projects or locations

  • temporary or negotiated rates need to override standard catalogue pricing

The standard/default Catalogue price remains available for all other projects, while the Project Specific Price is automatically used for the selected project during Purchase Order and Supplier Invoice workflows.

Example

In this example, we have a Catalogue Item called:

CORRIBOARD FLOOR PROTECTOR 2.4X1.2 X2.1MM BLACK 820800

The default Catalogue price is:

€3.95

This default price is used across all projects unless a Project Specific Price has been added.

For a new project called Ashbourne, we have negotiated a better supplier rate of:

€2.50

Rather than changing the default Catalogue price for every project, we can create a Project Specific Price specifically for the Ashbourne project.

Creating a Project Specific Price

Step 1 — Open the Catalogue Item

Navigate to:

Catalogue → Locate Item → View

Open the Catalogue Item you want to add project pricing to.

Step 2 — Add a Project Specific Price

Within the Catalogue Item, select:

+ Add Project Price

Step 3 — Complete the PSP Details

Populate the following fields:

Project

Select the project the pricing applies to.

Reference

(Optional)

Add a quotation reference, supplier quote number, or internal reference for tracking purposes.

Unit Price

Enter the new Project Specific Price.

Example:
€2.50

Step 4 — Save the Catalogue Item

Once completed, click:

Save Catalogue Item

How Project Specific Prices Work

Once saved:

  • the PSP price will automatically override the default Catalogue price for the selected project

  • all other projects will continue using the default Catalogue price

  • multiple Project Specific Prices can be created for different active projects

  • PSP pricing is used throughout Purchase Order workflows and Supplier Invoice checking

Example:

  • Default Catalogue Price = €3.95

  • Ashbourne PSP Price = €2.50

When creating a Purchase Order or reviewing Supplier Invoices for the Ashbourne project, LiveCosts will automatically use the €2.50 PSP rate.

Additional Notes

Multiple Project Prices

A single Catalogue Item can contain multiple Project Specific Prices for different projects.

Supplier Pricing Visibility

Project Specific Prices help teams:

  • track negotiated supplier rates

  • maintain accurate project costing

  • compare supplier pricing over time

  • avoid manually editing Catalogue prices for temporary project-specific agreements

Catalogue Best Practice

For larger catalogues, we recommend structuring Catalogue Items primarily by supplier. This makes:

  • quotation imports easier

  • invoice matching faster

  • project-specific pricing management more efficient
